This website also uses Google Analytics 4, provided by Google LLC, for aggregate website traffic analytics. See Section 8 for details.

8. Cookies and Tracking

This website uses cookies and similar technologies to understand how visitors use our pages and to improve your experience.

Google Analytics 4

We use Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service provided by Google LLC (“Google”). For visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, the data controller for this service is Google Ireland Limited.

Cookies set by Google Analytics:

  • _ga — distinguishes unique users (retention: 2 years)
  • _ga_<MEASUREMENT_ID> — session state (retention: 2 years)

Data collected: IP address (truncated by Google before storage), user-agent string, pages viewed, referrer, approximate location (city or region), and device type. We do not collect names, email addresses, or other directly identifying information through Google Analytics.

Lawful basis:

  • For visitors in the EU, UK, and Switzerland: explicit consent given through our cookie banner.
  • For visitors elsewhere: legitimate interest in understanding aggregate site usage, with the right to opt out.

We use Google Consent Mode v2: visitors who decline analytics cookies are tracked only via cookieless, anonymized pings — no persistent identifiers are stored on the device.

How to opt out:

  • Use the cookie banner shown on your first visit to decline analytics cookies.
  • Re-open the banner at any time via the Cookie Settings link in our footer.
  • Install Google’s official Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, which disables Google Analytics across every site you visit.
  • Enable Global Privacy Control (GPC) in your browser. We honor GPC signals automatically and will treat them as a request to opt out of advertising and cross-context data sharing.
  • Enable Do Not Track (DNT) in your browser. We honor DNT signals automatically and will not set analytics cookies for visitors with DNT enabled.

Other cookies

The site does not currently set marketing or advertising cookies. If we add marketing cookies in the future, they will appear in the “Marketing” category of our cookie banner and we will update this section.

9. AI and Automated Decision-Making

We use artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies to enhance our services, including:

  • Automated data processing and analysis
  • Service optimization and performance improvements
  • Pattern recognition and anomaly detection
  • Predictive analytics and insights
  • Content personalization and recommendations

These automated processes are designed to assist and enhance our services. You have the right to request human review of any automated decisions that significantly affect you.

10. International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place to protect your information in accordance with applicable data protection laws.

Website analytics data is processed by Google LLC in the United States under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, of which Google LLC is a certified participant. This provides a recognized legal basis for transfers of personal data from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland to the United States.

11. Children’s Privacy

Our services are not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete such information promptly.

12. Data Breach Notification

In the event of a data breach that affects your personal information, we will notify you and relevant authorities as required by applicable law, typically within 72 hours of becoming aware of the breach. We will provide information about the nature of the breach and steps being taken to address it.
